#ALSIceBucketChallenge als.ca water.org Donations to both organizations have been made to help support and raise awareness for Lou Gehrigs Disease (ALS) and access to safe water for the less fortunate. For the fun part: not sure if epic success or epic fail but definitely hilarious. Doing the ALS challenge with friends. Participants please share and post your personal messages. This is my personal message: ALS (also known as Lou Gehrigs Disease) is a progressive neuromuscular disease in which nerve cells die and leave voluntary muscles paralyzed. Every day two or three Canadians die of the disease. With close baseball ties (Lou Gehrig, Pete Krates), ALS has always been known to me and it is my most feared disease. If you remember the commercial where the lady sings to her suffering husband heads, and shoulders, knees & toes... you will understand what i mean.
