ALWAYS ASK FOR WISDOM AS A LEADER King Solomon started his ruler-ship with blood shed as seen in 1 Kings chapter 2, he went against GODS specific principles governing kings in Deut.17:16 which says, But he shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses, for the LORD has said to you, you shall not return that way again. King Solomon returned to Egypt by making a treaty with Pharaoh king of Egypt and marrying Pharaohs daughter as seen in 1 kings 3:1. GOD had warned the Israelites never to make any covenant with the nations that serve idols nor Intermarry with them. Do not give your daughters to their sons or take their daughters for your sons Deut.7:3; but king Solomon violated this law and intermarried with the daughter of king Pharaoh and that was the beginning of Solomons spiritual downfall. King Solomon loved the LORD, but messed up his beginning as a ruler, because he never asked GOD for wisdom, this means when GOD calls us as leaders the first thing to do is to ask for wisdom and directions in life, family and ministry. When GOD gives us wisdom we should also asked GOD how to use the wisdom to glorify HIM and not ourselves. So this morning JESUS is addressing the Body of Christ, HIS servants in the vine yard, HIS children that, always ask for wisdom when you are called into the services of GOD, ask for directions, ask how to run a ministry, ask for sponsorship, helpers and partnership, ask GOD to direct you in life and ministry Himself, because it is GODS work and not yours, ask for daily exhortation, teachings and sermon messages, for many messages preach in churches today are from the flesh, full of gossip, story telling that do not changed any soul, because the messages are not GODS message, ask how to you can direct GODS people for they are not your people. For it is written If the ax is dull and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but wisdom brings success Eccl.10:10 NKJV Bible. However king Solomon went to Gibeon to sacrifice there and at Gibeon The LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and GOD said, Ask What shall I give you? GOD had been waiting for the king to ask HIM for directions since, Nevertheless the king asked for wisdom, The Bible says king Solomon said, Therefore give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours? 1 kings 3:9. GOD was please because Solomon asked for wisdom to direct GODS people and not his people. So, Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom and in all your getting, get understanding says the LORD Prov.4:7, NKJV Bible. Shalom and free to share.
