AM I WRONG? Wednesday 7:45a on Country 600 CKAT. Seems hardly a day goes by I dont run across an article that makes me think the worlds gone mad. The latest example is some professors claiming that Disneys Jungle Book is racist. They claim the apes efforts to be more like humans in the movie is a racist metaphor for black peoples efforts to be more like white people. Disney has plans to film a live-action remake of the 1967 classic and there are those that are recommending they alter the negative racial stereotyping of the original. Now its been some time since I saw the Jungle Book but I cant recall making that connection. Isnt this another example of political correctness taken to the extreme? Some folks will always find ways to make something out of nothing. AM I WRONG? Andy Wilson.
