AMAZING MIMETOLITHS - THE ‘HUMANOID ROCKS’ मंगलमय सुप्रभात मित्रों ‘Mimetoliths’ are the natural rocks/ minerals or rock exposures or topographic features which display shapes resembling, real or fancied, with human, animal, plant, or anything else, etc. Those having similarity with ‘human face’ are called ‘Humanoid-Rocks’. These are reported from many countries in the world including India. These ‘Humanoid Mimetoliths’ are formed as a result of natural or geological processes such as solidification of magma, crystallization from solutions, chemical and physical weathering or abrasion in place, etc., and also as a result of different combination of these continuous geological processes on rocks. Large scale man-made features or smaller carved faces do not fall in the category of mimetoliths. The ‘Humanoid Rocks’ are also known as ‘rock people’, ‘face rocks’, ‘Sphinx’, etc. Presence of beautiful ‘Humanoid Rocks’ carved by ‘mother nature’ are reported from USA, Canada, Scotland, India, Romania, etc. I am posting 10 pics of the famous ‘Humanoid Rocks or Mimetoliths’ here for my FB friends, just to appreciate.
