AMC seals petrol pump at Old Mondha In a major action, the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Thursday afternoon sealed a petrol pump situated near Jaffar Gate in Old Mondha. It was learnt the action was taken after the owner of fuel station failed to pay property tax to the tune of Rs 6.50 lakh (dues of last 2 years) to AMCs Ward C office. According to the ward office, the AMC claimed property tax dues of Rs 14 lakh. However, the owner had raised an objection. As a result, the AMC re-assessed the property and postes property tax bills of more than Rs 6.50 lakh, some two weeks ago. Moreover, he was also served a notice stating to clear the dues within three days. However, he failed to pay the tax. Hence ward officer Priyanka Kesarkar and her team sealed the petrol pump.
