AMD and I craved an adventure today but did not want too spend much money, so we decided to walk the 1.6 miles to Wat Arun in 90 degree heat instead of taking an over priced tuk-tuk. Our only cost was for the ferry (3 baht) across the Chao Phraya river and the entry fee (50 baht) into the temple. As we figured out the route we met a guitar playing music store owner whom we freestyled with, drank fresh squeezed pomegranate juice, took beautiful pictures and laughed a lot about how we had no clue where we were going. Once at Wat Arun we went directly to the steep stairs and swiftly made our way up to admire the beauty of the river and city from 262 feet above. 6 hours later we are back at the hotel exhausted and fulfilled while only spending $6 between us the entire day. #bangkok #thailand #IGIVEtour #newfame
