AMERICA HAS HEART & SO DID DJ FUROCHE XOCHIL ZACK FORTUNE We want to extend our many thanks of gratitude for your visits and support in honoring our veterans like my 101st Airborne father, David Clinton Tharp of the past, present and future, enough so that we have now reached over thirteen thousand followers. I enjoy posting daily stories to remember and honor our past which gives us strength and empowers us to move forward making a better world and future for our children. But what if our children dont get the chance to experience that future? My last posting was on Tuesday, June 10th. On a personal note, my sister called to advise that her only son, Xochil Zack Fortune and my nephew had been involved in a hit and run accident this week while on his bicycle in Brooklyn, New York. Preparations were made for all of us to get to him as quickly as possible to nurture him toward recovery. But he died from brain trauma within 12 hours on Wednesday, June 11th at 2AM. Instead of our journey taking us to the hospital as planned, we were all directed to meet at the medical examiners office in Manhattan by 10AM. Several hours later, we were able to say our last goodbye to a beloved son, cousin and nephew. It would appear that Gods angels could not wait any longer and wanted this very special soul to come home. Zack is with his beloved Grandpa Tharp now. May they both rest in peace. Grandpa Tharp used to tell Zack, Go build your own empire, and build he did a beautiful silk screening business, clothing line and DJ music following of vast proportions. He was scheduled to play live with Gangsta Boo of Three 6 Mafia in Denver this weekend in Denver, Colorado. DJ Furoche (Zack) was an incredible producer, engineer and DJ. He had his hands in screen printing, cinematography, and a million other ventures. The stories that hes left behind are legendary, and he was one of the most caring and kind souls. Together, the memory of my father and his grandson will live on forever with grandpas military service and letters from WWII and Zacks music and art. May you rest in peace with Grandpa.
