AMINU TAMBWAL S DEFECTION AND MATTERS ARISING........ Tambwal^s defection maybe a deft move but not a masterstroke in the sense that it has been long awaited however,it is bound to exacerbate the already stifling tensions between PDP and APC one hand,the North and the South on the other hand whilst stoking regional as well as religious disharmony. The defection of the Speaker Of the House and the no 4 man gives and insight to the dirty and murky war being fought politically and otherwise. 1 The manner with which Tambwal waited till the last minute before announcing his defection shows that he ,just like other politicians is not ready to loose or quit his office but may want to hang on while undermining the Federal Government, which he is part of. 2.After announcing he is defection,,he hurriedly ,almost cowardly adjoined the plenary in order to avoid debate over his removalWhile his political friends may see it as a deft move orders see it as a constitutional abuse. 3 Tambwal s defection highlights the current political,regional and religious topsy turvy going on in the country at large. It also shows that many Hausas and Fulanis working at all the levels of government may be working against the government and the President secretly inorder to paint the government black. This was exemplified by Lamido Sanusi ,the former CBN governor and now accentuated by Tambwal. 4 Coming to the war against terror,many have also pointed fingers at the Hausa/fulani Moslems as fifth columnists Tambwal and Sanusi have just proven that information leakages,security breeches leading to Boko Haram attacks may indeed have come from Hausa Fulanis who see that as the extension of their political onslaught aginst the President and PDP..... Tambwal may have smiled away now,but his actions would also have a very bitter pills for many in his region.
