I want to start this address with Gratitude, for as Thomas Fuller will say “Gratitude is the least of the virtues, but ingratitude is the worst of vices”. I want to thank God for choosing me first of all though unworthy as I am, as a Catholic priest to be a veritable means of evangelization and of blessing to His people. I cannot thank Him enough for as the Apostle Paul will say, “God purposely chose what the world consider nonsense in order to shame the wise, and he chose what the world considers weak in order to shame the powerful. He chose what the world looks down on and despises and thinks is nothing in order to destroy what the world thinks is important” (1 Cor. 1:27-29). He also quickly added in the same passage “This means that no one can boast in God’s presence (1 Cor. 1:29). I also want to thank my Bishop Most Rev. Dr. Augustine Ukwuoma for all his love and support. His prayers and encouragements have simply been amazing. I will not forget the contributions of Most Rev. Dr. Gregory Ochiagha, the emeritus Bishop of Orlu who has always been close by as a wonderful counselor. I thank all the wonderful priests who have at one time or the other lived with me either as my boss, my associates or my curates, I duff my cap for all of you. I want to single out Fr. Paschal Nwokoro for his edifying loyalty and commitment to make this day a reality. I will forever remain indebted to my biological family – the family of Nnaoma Chief Edwin Ebosie and Nneoma Rebecca Ebosie, my brothers Sir Azubuike E. Ebosie, Barr. Charles and Dozie, my sisters Benedicta, Dr. Becky, Chy, Ogoo, and Ugochi. My aunts, uncles, cousins, brothers and sisters in law have all in one way or the other made me what I am today. It was in this family I first developed the hunger to serve the Lord, a hunger that is still kept alive by your numerous encouragements and prayers. Several lay men and women, boys and girls have been with me throughout the ten years. They were all sent to me by the Lord, to help build this ministry up. They have always stood by me not just during the good times but also during the trials and persecutions. Many suffered physically, mentally, spiritually as the nature of this work demands. But in a special way I want to thank the present crop of workers, not just because of the enormous work they do here day after day but for the privilege of being the anniversary set. May God bless and reward you abundantly. I call on all here present to observe a min silence for some of them who had died in active service to the ministry especially Late Bro. Innocent Iheonu….May his soul and all the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Many people have made significant financial, physical and moral contributions to enable us be where we are today. I thank in a special way the individual families in Umuihabu and Umuagbasa kindreds for donating this Land of Peace; I don’t forget also some others who though not from these kindreds also donated the land they acquired legally here. I thank the people of Obinikpa village for granting us the access to “Pool of Siloam”. I thank the four Ezes in Umuobom Eze G. A. Mbionwu (Gburugburu) Eze G. E. Enwerem (Obi) Eze Isaac Ezerioha Udorji (Ezedike) and Eze Ekele David Obinali (Okorobuikemba) who unanimously signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with me about six years ago when I came to Obom Clan to be the parish priest of St. John’s parish Umuobom. I thank all the Church Councils both the one I inherited headed by born leader, Chief Sir John Marshal Nwoke KSJI (Ochiagha) and the present one commissioned by me headed by the great achiever Bro. Paul Okoronkwo (Ezeebunafor). I would not forget the Arch Catechist, Andrew I Ofuluka JP, Catechists and other church functionaries. We are grateful for the financial contributions of Engr. Anthony Obiagwu who gave us the initial money for the erection of Fr. Bob Obiagwu memorial Hostel, of Engr John Paul Ochemba and family who helped greatly in the building of this Edifying Alter of YAHWEH SABBAOTH. We can never forget the large heartedness of Mr. Uche Aladu (URUDIKS) and family for the erection and almost near completion of this Magnificent Fathers House. Many others have made significant contributions in thousands and millions. May the Lord Bless you all. OUR MISSION: Two years after my ordination - 10 years ago, the Lord gave me a handful of men and women to assist me in the work of bringing back staying souls to himself through reconciling families, kindreds, villages and towns with each other and with Him. To destroy every evil totem object of worship in collaboration with the said owners that contradicts the gospel of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We were also commissioned to lead the people of God in weekly worship of God through Rosary procession, Mass and Eucharistic Adoration an exercise through Which miracles, healing and deliverances occur day in day out. Furthermore, He commissioned us to run schools so that the young ones will be saved from derailing in this present world of moral decadence. And finally to gather together Men and Women who will Perpetually Consecrate themselves to live of Consoling the Wounded Messiah – the One slain with a lance, fulfilling the prophesy of Zechariah “I will fill the descendants of David and the other people of Jerusalem with the spirit of mercy and the spirit of prayer. They will look at the one whom they slain to death and they will mourn for him like those who mourn for an only child. They will mourn bitterly, like those who have lost their first son” (Zech 12:10) CAPITAL NEEDS. Having enunciated our mission I hereby call on all you, - the friends of the ministry to help us achieve this goals. We need the people in the government and those who have people in government or even private citizens who can afford it to make the 3K/M access road to this place motorable all year round. Furthermore, being in the tropics with seven months of rainfall annually we need a roof over the adoration ground. We are yet to start off the school apostolate because we don’t have the structures in place yet, We need a two storied class room block and hostels to accommodate our students by September next year. The school apostolate will help the ministry be self-reliant as we have in Elele. We also need evangelization busses to take our workers through the length and breadth of this vast country Nigeria and beyond. We will be glad to have people who make monthly, annual, bi annul contributions to make our mission a reality to ask for our account details. God bless you as you do so. WELCOME. Finally, I welcome all of you once again as you have left everything to join in our celebrations today. We have enough to entertain you, feel relaxed at the Land of Peace. May God bless you for making it to this place and May His Grace see you back safely to your various destinations. I call on Our Mother Mary the great Mother of God whose care as can be seen on our Logo has been carrying this ministry and shielding it from the wiles of demons and unclean spirit. May her intercession accompany as as we pray Hail Mary….. Thanks and God bless. Rev. Fr. Kingsley Okechukwu Ebosie (Nwamaobinneya)
