AN AMETHYST STONE Andrew Crisci An amethyst stone, resembling a purple violet, was given me as a gift... did I smile or frown? Perfectly cut and polished, soft and beautiful as tiny violets, but it didnt puzzle me or make me sad... I looked at it and thought of spring days. A Diamond is hard to break, so is my trust and faith; a violet is a very fragile flower, so is the passion of my desire. Must I wear this pretty amethyst stone and be proud of my sign, or put it aside refusing to admire it? Such was the color of my first dawn, not as red as Hawthorne...a glimpse into this Aquarius fate?
