AN ANGEL by Ruby J Black When you see a sleeping baby smile it’s said the baby is dreaming of angels. When you hear in a quiet night a baby whimper, but silence takes it place that’s an angel’s touch of grace. When little children quietly play talking to friends we don’t see we seldom worry they pretend too much. Maybe their play is hard for us to trace, and maybe they’re looking into an angel’s face. When children grow into the world today their hopes and dreams can be scattered in confusion. Pushed aside and lost, silent voices no longer heard. In the midst of the storm comes an angel’s hand with God’s help they come to help us understand. Sometimes a child doesn’t know to ask for help, and sometimes they’d rather keep the pain inside lost within themselves their anger strikes out. Inside their shell we don’t hear their cry, but an angel will come along and ask why. Children are special gifts from God from babes they are touched by angels we are given the job to help them flourish to help them keep their dreams and hopes, and from time to time an angel will help us cope.
