AN APPEAL TO GOVERNMENT:: 1. I hereby appeal to the government to consider their proposal to dole out subsidies via direct credit to SB A/C. which is registered with AADHAR card alone. 2. AAdhar card issued under nandan nilekani UIDAI is not available at this time in Chennai and Census NPR Aadhar is delayed. 3. So as an alternate option Registering bank A/C., gas connection, credit/debit cards, train tickets … to public utilities.. with RATION CARD instead of proposed AAdhar card is a preferable choice. 4. Aadhar card can be updated along with and ration-card should be continued till entire people of India are provided with NUMBER. A long and necessary time of 5 years time frame can be fixed. 5. Presently nilekani AADHAR is seen to be substituted by NPR Aadhar. It is because demographic enumeration is done along with biometric enumeration and is also said to have legal status as is issued under INDIAN CITIZENSHIP ACT. So people are showing great interest and are frenzy to register for it which s actually a good sign. 6. So having huge people support for it the government should utilize it and use it to create a reliable and correct data base. But what is happening in reality is really disappointing. The typical governmental attitude is seen in executing this mass exercise of utmost importance. 7. There are numerous irregularities seen right from the demographic enumeration stage to biometric scanning stage. The door to door enumerators without application of mind collect incomplete/incorrect data for full 3 years from start of 2008 to end of 2010. This they pass on to BMR team, an outsourced firm such as MSP and Swiss tech. They again engage incompetent persons who enter wrong data and or unable to find the demographic record of the applied person. Moreover many are left out in the door to door enumeration and many are left out without giving the booth slip since they have vacated on 2010. 8. The system followed at BMR camp zone 10 Chennai Corporation is also improper. People volunteering for enumeration are put to numerous troubles. No mandated procedure as said in the Census-NPR manual is followed. People of all ages are made to wait from morning 6.00 Am to get the token given by outsourced workers who come by 11.00Am. Only first 30 arrivals are allowed scanning by giving tickets. Is a charitable food court and are we beggars? The chart containing block and ward numbers for which the BMR scan cap is conducted is not put and the list of family codes eligible for BMR is also not listed. Next the importantly the PINK-FORM to register/reregister the left-out/wrong data-ad persons is never available at the BMR scan camps. Then even in that 30 half are sent out without scanning for the fault of wrong work done by demographic and biometric workers. Thus no proper complete and good work done in this sweep of NPR REGISTRATION IS HEREBY EVINCED.
