AN ATTEMPT BY “#IN-LAWS” TO KILL A LADY IN #PARADE AREA OF #JAMMU JAMMU, Dec 07: One innocent 28 years old girl of Jammu, who got married just five years back tried to be killed by her in laws. It has been reported that the said ill fated girl was married to one Deepak Gupta of Mohalla pahadian, Parade, Jammu. Deepak Gupta, who is nephew of one leading Shoe dealer Sat Pal Mahajan ,Prop. Mahajan Shoe Corporation at Mohalla Pahadian, Parade, Jammu , was working in the same concern. The parents of the ill-fated girl reported that their daughter was being harassed/beaten by her in laws for dowry since the time she got married. Ravi Kumar Gupta father of the girl said that what so ever he can afford, he use to give them as per their choice to fulfill the demands of his daughters in laws every time but despite that she was harassed & beaten by her husband, Deepak Gupta, father in law, Harbans Lal, mother in law, Prem Lata, brother in laws Anil Gupta, Ashwani Gupta & sister in laws, Dimple & Anju Gupta. On Friday, all family members forcefully put a bottle of phenyl in her mouth to kill her but from some source her parents came to know about the episode. They immediately reached there & took the girl in Govt. Medical College, Jammu in spite of resistance by her in laws, where she was treated by a team of doctors, who saved her life. A FIR has been registered in city police station & a case under section 307 has been registered against all the family members of in laws of the girl. It is also informed by the I.O. to the reporter that all the family members of her in laws are absconding from their house since they acted on the episode. However Deepak Gupta has been arrested by the police. The girl is admitted in Ward No. 15, bed No. 42 in Govt. Medical College, Jammu & her condition is reported to be stable.
