AN END TO CORRUPTION Under Philippine condition, it lmost always happens that an elected President commits grievous corruption and most of them get scotch-free. I think the law against crrupting president is weak and inadequate and the solution here is to create a very strong law that will put a stop tp this despicable conduct. It may need an amendment to the Bills of Rights to specify that a President is proven guilty unless proven innocent leaving the burden of proof on the accused. The Freedom of Information Law and the National ID System will rectify all the defects in compiling evidence of corruption. Advance countries like Singapore and Japan have enacted these laws and look now they are very progressive wih the benefits redounding to their population. We should also abolish the Bank Secrecy Law which provides shield to corrup officials. We should remove the deplorable events of retrogression and build up forthwith the scintillating horizon of righteousness.
