AN EXAMPLE OF WIVES A family is an institution, and to operate smoothly, it needs a head. Even Jesus has One he submits to as his head. The head of the Christ is God, just as the head woman is the man ICorinth 11:3, that is why a man is of the woman; but the woman for the man 11:8-9. Imperfect men make mistakes and often fall far short of being ideal family heads. But let it be the inward adorning (and) beauty of the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible and unfading charm of a gentle and peaceful spirit which is not anxious or wrought (up, but) is very precious in the sight of God, IPet 3:4 by displaying such a spirit, she will find it easier to demonstrate godly subjection, even under trying circumstances. God took a rib out of man to be a help mate suitable, adapted and complementary for Him. Genesis 2:20. That is why the Bible says: The wife should have deep respect for her husband, Ephesians 5:33. But if he does not accept Christ as his head? The Bible urges wives Be subjected to your own husbands, in order that, if any are not obedient to the word, their wives, because of having been eyewitnesses of your chaste conduct together with deep respect I Pet 3:1, 2 In fulfilling the role, a wife can do much in caring for the family, for example, the Bible shows that married women are to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sound in mind, chaste, workers at home, good, subjecting themselves to their own husbands Titus 2:4, 5. A wife and mother who acts in this way will gain the lasting love and repectof her family Proverb 31:10, 28 As Sarah enjoyed the gain I petere 3:6, Col. 3:18 What an explicit family, when Jesus mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with of the Holy Spirit Matthew 1:18, therefore separation must not be taken lightly for the Bible counsels: I Corinth 7:10, 11 A wife should depart from her husband likewise husband. But only fornication by one of the marriage mates provides scriptural grounds for divorce Matthew 19:9
