AN INDELICATE BALANCE tis not for the lack of original voices buzzing my brain with their incessant critiques that concerns me, no, i got used to that by about third or fourth grade, but rather how genuine the empathy then they begin to whisper their accurate assessments in my daydreams (which i thought a gentlemans agreement kept off limits), this surely you see could be construed as a breach of construct, some sort of violation of privacy along the lines of attorney-client privilege, and of course its obvious how much damage to my self-esteem could occur when these semantic incursions through both hemispheres start cross-referencing current feelings with past actions, how irritating their purring opprobriums directly engaging my inner calm, brokering a deal that offsets years of delicate negotiations, ive had to recall half my diplomatic corps. lucky for me the other half was entirely forgettable. pj rockwell 12/12/14
