AN OFFICE OR YOUR LIFE?! ``````````````````````````````````````` He was a Lawyer, Author, and Preacher. He passed a disputed bar exam after failing so many tests and being rejected from various colleges. He argued only one case in court. Most of his cases resulted in enraged clients and judicial criticism. He started a newspaper business but failed. He authored books which was later discovered as plagiarized from other similar sources, where titles changed and the entire content the same. He preached about God after recovering from a deadly accident, he was later rejected by various religious institutions. He wanted to become Ambassador and he lined up outside the White House everyday in hopes of getting the government position. But he was rejected. So many times. And because of that, in 1881, he assassinated President James A. Garfield (20th President of the US - He was the second of four US Presidents who were assassinated) using a $15 revolver gun. He was one of the early high-profile criminals who was ruled to a temporary hospital arrest, he stayed at St. Elizabeths Hospital in the southeastern quadrant of Washington, D.C. while in prison and awaiting execution. Today, June 30, in 1882 , this man named Charles J. Guiteau was executed by hanging. 2 days before the first anniversary of the shooting. Part of Guiteaus brain remains on display at the Mütter Museum in Philadelphia and National Museum of Health and Medicine in Maryland. #TodayinHistory #Assassin #CharlesJGuiteau #AnOfficeorYourLife
