AN OPEN LETTER TO DR. GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN (GCFR), PRESIDENT, COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF, FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA AND THE NATIONAL CHAIRMAN, PEOPLE DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP), ALH. ADAMU MUAZU-- BY KWARA STATE CONCERNED PDP STAKEHOLDERS. TOWARDS ENSURING PDP VICTORY IN KWARA STATE WITHOUT ADO: The current trend of opportunism which has propelled desperate individuals to have migrated to Abuja to create blocs for parading themselves as being in charge of Kwara state, ends up in misrepresenting themselves and the state which summed up to give the impression to their contacts that the party is operating in factions has attracted the home based political leaders to organise a meeting of representatives from all the sixteen (16) Local Government Area of the state to strategise and arrest the clandestine motives of these unprogressive betrayal of entrusted kwara freedom. It is important to stress that, kwara state like many other states in Nigeria had suffered from the negative effects of the political god-fatherism, now god- motherism in kwara PDP which wilfully produced self-serving candidates either for elective or appointive political positions where these crops of products have never represented the people but themselves and their god-fathers/mother. Kwara state experienced the extreme of it when it tends to turn to be successive and with an absolute successor. For over a decade, kwara state was not only ruled with an iron-fisted self proclaimed godfather, people were openly insulted and made to have the impression of being like inherited serfs in the ancient Russia while the natural phenomenon is to seek the window of LIBERATION which can be recalled from the support given to the defunct ACN in the 2011 elections were direct reflections of peoples strong desires for fairness, justice and equity (CHANGE) to their lives. Even though, it was never made to be realised, it is believed that, the conversion of victory to the team of incumbents office holders were influenced by the external forces. Mr. President and our amiable National Chairman sirs, It is considered necessary to bring to your attention that, the PDP in kwara state began as a LIBERATION party of which the founding members were those who never believed in the dictates of god-fatherism worse still the current god-motherism and their disciples who were then in the defunct APP and later ANPP. It was the undue interference of the presidency that eventually robbed those who laboured for the PDP in the 1998/1999 elections of patronage. This continued to generate instability until the control of the party was eventually handed over to the dynasty the original PDP members tried to avoid. This disruption was made possible by the then presidency occupant even against the rhetoric advice of the then National Chairman of PDP Mr. Audu Ogbe. As it is presently, kwarans believe that it was a prayer answered and Gods support for their absolute freedom, total liberation and complete emancipation that made the self conferred god-father to throw his drinking water onto the face of those helping him to sustain absolutism on kwarans. It thus explain why we kwarans sees President GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN as our own MOSES that led out the ISRAELIS from the claws PHARAOH. It must be noted here that, kwarans support for PDP as a party and its leaderships is REAL and also REAL is our undiluted loyalty and support for continuity of Mr. President transformation agenda for Nigeria. This therefore explains why we are seeking for support to initiate a home grown democratic process to select or elect our leadership rather to experience another trend of imposition of candidates to contest elections, as kwarans were desirous of occupying the Ahmadu Bello way government house of kwara state come 2015 MA-SHA ALLAHAU. Kwarans are aware that some desperate individuals who are operating in concert with the state leadership of APC have dedicated themselves and their cronies to be going round some identified party leaders and the presidency to preach their candidature for different elective offices and to malign other peoples character for exhibiting their grassroots mobilisation prowess over their own empty barrel noise. For exercising this kinds of attitudes, lovers of sustenance of democracy in Nigeria should clearly locate such individuals as enemies of the people they are aspiring to rule. It would be a recycling of peoples suffering when kwarans actually deserves more than just leaders but home grown responsive and responsible representatives that can and would wipe tears of long neglect from their faces. It is on a sad note that, the National secretariat of our great party has not been consistent in operating its own set rules and conditions for justice. For instance, in the recently concluded elections to party offices in the state, different bodies were dispatched from the National secretariat to conduct elections and ensure its validity by the review of the appeal panel, but their outcome was eventually jettisoned and replaced with wilful choices. The still lingering case of constitution of party executives for Ilorin West Local Government, with a contributing votes of 52% of total votes of kwara states is a point of reference where the appeal panel identified inconsistencies or irregularities in the result declared and reverted it to the rightful people elected. The swearing in of the rightful elected people was originally delayed to be effected along with other local governments only for a letter purportedly issued by the National secretariat to sustain fraud emanated from nowhere instructing that, those who lost at the appeal be sworn in, the stalemate is still affecting the party as a whole till this very moment while the attendant consequences might jeopardise the party victory at the general election. As earlier mentioned, the desire of kwarans is to prevent a repeat of harrowing experiences suffered in the past through bad political leadrships and certainly, those who are involved in the fraud do not mean well for PDP in kwara and kwarans in general. To therefore perceive no clue to peoples protracted problems through our current political alignment, kwarans may therefore have to find resort in taking their fate in their own hands when a mismanagement of palpable success may lead to the loss of it ala general election. On a final note, we are therefore proposing to the National leadership of our great party to adopt a wholistic and scientific approach to locating the true situation in kwara sate rather than the accommodation of individuals or clique of individuals who parade themselves in Abuja to promote themselves and deride others. This particular situation is giving the impression that the kwara state PDP operates in factions and along aspirants seeking elective offices.
