AN OPEN LETTER TO OSTUDENTS (OSPOLY IREE, OSCOTECH ESA-OKE, OSCOED ILESA & OSSCE ILA-ORANGUN) ON PROPOSED PROTEST SLATED TO HOLD SOON ON THE ISSUE OF INCESSANT INDUSTRIAL ACTION IN OSUN STATE OWNED SCHOOLS........... Dear Ostudents, Isnt it too much of strike in our beloved schools ? Aret they (todays leaders) care so much our future ? Arent we on at the brink spending 3 years for 2 years programme ? Are we not on the verge of loosing our academic competency ? Are these people boastful of the graduands our school produced because of poor educational equipment ? Are we only the State owned institutions in Nigeria ? Do they suffer as these during their undergraduate days ? Must we strike in every academic session ? Are these people keeping us at home for us to be hijacked for political thuggery ? These aforementioned questions and the likes keeps stir up and commoves me because If we fold hands and keep watching as the #strike is going we will spend nothing less than 3 months on the issue, Aregbes monthly allowance will not stop neither the lecturers it is we students will be suffering from the clash of the titans. Nigerian youths are the problem of ourselves. Some youths died recently on the verge of seeking job while the microscopic few that will be given job are merrying at home. If These set of Jobless youths are called to stage a nationwide protest against unemployment in Nigeria they will run for their dear lives and wont attend, and forgot that what goes around always comes around; now we suffers Unemployment. Year in year out Institutions across the country are turning out graduates while there is less percentage of job creation and vacancies in the country. If we fail to agitate today through diplomatic protest to show our grievances then what will be our future ? And remember the assignment is not only on the EXCOS or HONOURABLES but on all students. We have to troope out en-masse and hank for our rights to quality education without hindrance because it shouldnt be a privilege but a Right to all citizenry. We must also clear the notion that we are been instigated by political jingoists because we are set of learners that our rate of thinking is unestimiable strictly unionism, we are firmly standing for our rights. Dear COLLEAGUES, if we fail to cry out no one will on the rescue mission. At this juncture, I will urge us all to be an agent of positive change if the current administration fails to listen to the yearnings of our lecturers and find lasting solution to call the strike off in a due time.
