AN OVERVIEW ABOUT THE PATH TO SUCCESS. Its harder to travel a new journey without a direction. The road to fortune is clear, there are no shortcuts and success has the same routes even though the destinations appear different. Its like drivers traveling to different destinations. No matter how different the destinations are, theyve all been on a road, have encountered road blocks, humps, traffic men, theyve all used energy, time, directions and have all successfully arrived. The differences in destinations is because of the different roads, interests, time of travel, expertise and other many related factors. When success is viewed at its peak, we see different versions of success. We see real estate moguls, online entrepreneurs, self help coaches and theyre all successful. Success is in different forms and successful men travel different journeys in a way that your own version of success frames you to adopt certain habits relevant to your peak. Though when we again view success from the valley, its like the practices only vary based on an attraction created by the peak targets but theyre all practical practices anyway . Youll realize that there are similar overall activities that generally occur in the lives of the successful, practices like failure, quitting bad habits and installing new ones, setting goals, reading, asking. The difference is simply that they ask different people, read differently, set different goals in relevance to their peak targets. So, here is written trip based on what the successful men have generally passed through to succeed. There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all way and not starting. ---- Buddha. Actually if you dont start, then you have already made a first principle mistake. There is no time to prepare for starting. You dont need something better than you to start. A common question people ask in themselves here is when should I start? Usually when is an invitation meaning now. “If youre going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, dont even start. This could mean losing girlfriends, wives, relatives and maybe even your mind. It could mean not eating for three or four days. It could mean freezing on a park bench. It could mean jail. It could mean derision. It could mean mockery--isolation. Isolation is the gift. All the others are a test of your endurance, of how much you really want to do it. And, youll do it, despite rejection and the worst odds. And it will be better than anything else you can imagine. If youre going to try, go all the way. There is no other feeling like that. You will be alone with the gods, and the nights will flame with fire. You will ride life straight to perfect laughter. Its the only good fight there is.” ― Charles Bukowski. This is the very reason you should never wait to start because youre not guaranteed to succeed immediately. In this stage, youll be required to fail more, learn more, inquire more, try again and again. And very many others. All those blocks above are mainly classified to be as brick walls. The brick walls are there for a reason. The brick walls are not there to keep us out. The brick walls are there to give us a chance to show how badly we want something. Because the brick walls are there to stop the people who dont want it badly enough. Theyre there to stop the other people. ----- Randy Pausch. There are very few people who get to this stage though. So its simply the last lecture to test you with two options. Get In or Go Back Because its at this point where those who want it badly are filtered from those who just think they want it. Thats the thick line boundary to success. Actually at this point, you dont even think of giving up but rather increase your efforts until you cross the bridge. There is a tree in Asia called the Chinese Bamboo. Its seed stays underground for 5 years without germinating but when it does, it grows 50 feet above the ground in one week. Every week it gets to grow 50 feet. What is important is not how long it delays but how fast it grows. --Theory from Tonny Rutakirwas book: You can Do It. This is most importantly to aid you not to give up. Sometimes when you see others making it faster than you do, you might think otherwise but the truth is that by not getting it now, youre getting experience. Youre growing strong roots. Experience is what you get when you dont get what you want.
