AN UPPITY NEGRO Somebody help me out here. Tell me that this clip is just an edited portion of something longer, edited to make this woman look like an idiot. I have no idea who she is, but she really isnt that much of an idiot is she? Its an archaic term, seldom used anymore, but an uppity negro was something often used, by blacks and whites alike, to describe an African-American who thought himself/hsrself a cut above the rest. It was frequently misplaced I thought, because, back in the day, it was often used to describe someone who was well-spoken and demanded respect. I know from personal experience that can make some people uncomfortable. But, in this this instance, I think that this misguided fool is placing herself above others, merely because she has less melanin in her skin, completely forsaking the benefits of a rich deposit melanin. Ultimately this clip is very embarrassing. But I think people like this needed to be called out, calling a spad- a spad-.
