ANACONDA was so bad. maybe even worse than pills and potions. and im a huge fan of nicki. but the product placements she does for her perfume, myx moscato, the pill speakers by beats, is beyond irritating when its featured in these two visually minimal videos. im not saying you cant do product placement. but product placement is WAY less obnoxious in a more maximalist video - for example pass the courvoisier is great in EVERY SINGLE WAY even though it is basically a commercial. but its not just the product placement, its the vapidity i really dont like. i thought stupid hoe was dumb in a smart way. it was truly deranged. i felt like nicki expressed the mania that comes from trying to embody everything all at once. nicki what are you doing? i assume youre making scrooge mcduck type of money, but youre so much smarter than your videos lately. i truly became obsessed with you after watching bossing up a few years ago. but, these slow, dopey commercials youve been calling music videos lately are unwatchable.
