ANATOMY STUDY GROUP with PT and YOGA TEACHER GENEVIEVE HICKS starts this month!!!! If you are interested in learning anatomy, consider these series of trainings happening at The Samarya Center with Physical Therapist and Yoga Teacher Genevieve Hicks. Mark your calendars. Last Saturday of every month starting in January of 2015 from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. We will use the framework established in the book Yogabody by Judith Lasater PT. Week 1 (1/31/15) - will address research in yoga and we will have a guest speaker who will teach us about how to apply a critical eye to yoga related research. Week 2 (2/28/15)- the locomotor system Week 3 (3/28/15)- the vertebral column Week 4 (4/25/15) - the lower extremity Week 5 (5/30/15)- the trunk Week 6 -(6/27/15) the upper extremity There will be required reading each week, so please email me if you are interested. I will be sending out a research article in January. Please buy the book if you dont already have it. Cost ~ $40 per class **This is NOT a series. You are welcome to attend any or all of the sessions.** These classes count towards the Samarya 300-hr Yoga Teacher Training.
