Thank you all for loving Mateo and Vera and I am so glad I did their story justice I like so many others fell in love with Mateo in LIE but after just reading the Prologue and Mateos letter to Vera in the first few pages I knew my heart was going to burst for this amazing and loving man. And it did. This was a very emotional and at times very sad book. I started crying at 65% and didnt stop until the end. The writing and Mateos voice was just perfect. I felt the sadness, anger, love, frustration, pain and helplessness right along with Mateo. I understood the cultural prejudice and misconceptions that he and Vera very experiencing and it broke my heart that people could be so cruel.
