See more at: aspeninstitute.org/ande About the role: Aspen Institute India is seeking a Consultant to lead a project to research the potential expansion of the ANDE network in India. Main responsibilities Preparation of a business plan for a more established regional presence for ANDE in India Process would include meeting with current (and prospective) members to understand their needs and interests Plan will consider various operational modalities for this presence and make a recommendation for the best operational/organizational structure. Plan will include a budget and proposed fundraising strategy for next 2-3 years Plan will identify high priority action areas to support the growth of the SGB sector in India, and identify potential ways in which ANDE members could support that growth Coordination of quarterly or more frequent meetings of ANDE members in India, as an input into the development of this plan and to support networking and knowledge-sharing Planning and hosting of at least two pilot event(s) that support the growth of the SGB sector in India Events could be training programs or topical convening’s or other events Reporting findings and progress on a consistent basis to Aspen Institute India and ANDE Acting as the primary liaison between ANDE Global and potential members in India drawing down resources from the global network as well as feeding information on the region back into the global network to build the programme in India. Working with Aspen Institute India to determine ways to integrate with existing programming Handling communication to and amongst local members and other regional stakeholders Representing ANDE in regional industry gatherings and events Managing the project budget Who are we looking for? Bachelor Degree minimum, Advanced Degree preferred 8 to 10 years of relevant experience, including: Partnership management; Strategic and operational planning; Business Planning Project management; Fundraising; Stakeholder management Relevant experience in organization and network building such as TiE, CII etc Significant local India experience and exposure to social enterprise/development. Some international exposure. Competencies: Comfort with uncertainty Entrepreneurial nature Vision Ability to inspire others Leadership and team building Decision-making Self-management Development of networks Strong communicator and relationship builder Fluent in English (reading, writing, conversation) Availability to travel within India and internationally up to 30%. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours with an organization based in the US. The role will be based in New Delhi and is open to Indian nationals. No relocation assistance is available. The Consultant position is for an initial one year term. However the possibility exists to extend beyond one year, depending on the outcomes of the project.
