ANDREJ BOLESLAVSKY & MARIA JUDOVA (Czech Republic) ARCHIBIO : PUBLIC INSTALLATION ArchiBio videomapping unfolds the beauty of microscopic worlds enlarged to a giant size in public spaces. Panjims beautiful heritage buildings and churches become projection spaces for this incredible installation. Andrej Boleslavský and Maria Judova are new media artists from the Czech Republic. They focus on the use of technology to create new media art and interactive design spaces. ABOUT THE FESTIVAL: The year 2015 has been declared The International Year of Light 2015 and Light-based Technologies by the United Nations (IYL2015.org), and The Story of Light (thestoryoflight.org) marks one of the first-large scale international events in their calendar. It is also the first science-meets-art festival to be conceived and hosted in India. The festival applies light—its beauty and universality and its connections with science, technology, nature, culture, spirituality, history, and cosmology—as a medium to change perspectives and show reality just a little bit differently. SOL will be held in India’s tourism capital of Goa from 14-18 January 2015, where we will give nearly 100,000 tourists, students, and local residents completely free access to everything from large-scale public installations to curated screenings and mind-bending workshops.
