ANGER DOESN”T NOT BENEFIT YOU Psalm 37:8,9 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not thyself in any wise to do evil. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. If you allow yourself to be grieved, troubled and displeased, this message is tailor-made for you. Eat it, learn it and live, my friend, for it’s a meal designed to free your mind. Christ says: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” Anger doesn’t benefit you – it only leads to wrath which is strong, stern, or fierce anger. When you’re deeply resentful you harbor indignation which negatively affects your health. How can the peace of Jesus calm you when you’re looking to avenge the one who is disturbing your peace? “Vengeance is Mine,” saith the Lord who alone reserves the right to punish evildoers – not you, nor me. Healthy people don’t let the sun go down upon their wrath so they don’t suffer unnecessarily. They cast their “cares” or troubles upon the Lord remembering His words – “I care for you.” But when you concoct a “pay back” plan for having been hurt, cheated, or lied on, you’re headed for danger. God’s business is retribution and it’s issued to those who commit wrong. We are not to meddle with them, envy them or be enraged with them
