ANNIE MAE TRIBUTE, until six years ago I didnt know who she was nor did I realize the epidemic of missing & murdered aboriginal girls & women. The treatment of dis honoring our gender happens every second, minute, hour, weeks & years. We do it to ourselves too by thinking it only happens to me & nobody else. This is one of the reasons violence towards us has lasted & continues. Are you surviving or are you living? Choosing to live our lives as an Aborginal female is a sacred path. Somewhere, someplace weve been objectified within our own culture. ANNIE MAE was killed by Aborginal men. Shame on all who were associated with her death. For those people involved in her death, directly or indirectly, I can only say that you think nobody knows but we see it in your childrens childrens behavior.
