ANNOUNCEMENT FROM KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINET, DISTRICT 6: Starting Friday, July 25 at 9:00 p.m. until Monday, July 28 at 5:00 a.m., eastbound US 42 will be restricted to a single through lane from the I-75/71 overpass to Industrial Road. The ramp from I-71/75 southbound to US 42 will be restricted to a single lane. The ramp from northbound I-71/75 to US 42 (Exit 180) will be CLOSED during this timeframe; traffic should detour using KY 18 (Exit 181) or KY 536 (Exit 178). Starting Friday, August 1 at 9:00 p.m. until Monday, August 4 at 5:00 a.m., Industrial Road will be closed at US 42. Sign detours will be in place. Eastbound US 42 will be restricted to a single through lane from the I-75/71 overpass to Scott Street during this timeframe. The ramp from southbound I-71/75 to US 42 will be restricted to a single lane. Watch for flaggers and trucks entering and exiting the highway.
