ANNOUNCEMENT: Good Morning! Happy Thursday! In my world it is garbage day! lol! Sorry couldnt resist! Everytime I write Happy Thursday...or I think today is Thursday. I think in the back of my mind...Its garbage day! lol! :-) No that is not why I am writing this post to announce that it is garbage day in our hood! :-) Yesterday, I took the afternoon off of work to get him checked out for his infection in his lungs. They gave him some Amoxicillin that he has to take for 10 days. They said if there was no change by Saturday to come back. They were surprised that he was not given anything on November 17 when we first report it however we do think that was an over sight and Randy didnt go back because he is just a stubborn man!!! :-) We did hear back yesterday from Randys hepatitis C nurse at the University of Alberta Hospital. As suspected they are lowering his treatment. Which is good but kind of sad that they have to do that as that means that they are not fighting the virus with full force any more as Randys body cant tolerate it anymore but...at least he still is on the treatment...and prayers that this adjustment will last the next 10 weeks. They lowered the Ribivirin from 1,000mg to only 600mg a day (5 tabs to 3 tabs) and his Alfa 2a - Pegainterferon injections from 180mg to 135mg. We are still waiting to see the results of the hepatitis C virus count. It is too soon to receive them anyways, prayers that he is winning especially now that the treatment dosage has lower. I received a message asking if I am okay and if I am sick! I am fine! I am just very tired. At the end of the day....I am done! Randy has pneumonia because someone came to work sick...gave me the virus. I did not become ill but I carried it home to Randy which he has a very low immune system, which in turn, quickly turned to pneumonia. That is why I believe in sick days. We shutter just thinking of going to the medical clinic every time Randy needs to renew a prescription or has to go for his weekly blood work. One time we walked into the blood clinic and one lady that had a cold, out of courtesy wore a mask. I could have went up to her and kissed her, if she did not have a cold! lol! Just things I use to never think about until I had a loved one that was very ill. Keeping sending your prayers!!! Have a FABULOUS Thursday EVERYONE! #TeamLariviere #LiveLiverDonor #TransplantRecipient #FightConquerWin #RedDeer #OneDayAtATime en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pneumonia
