ANNOUNCEMENT: I spoke to the KB today. I told him from now on he will need to pay our rescue 40.00 per horse that we find a home for. I dont do this to make money, but with this cold weather, these horses are eating a lot of hay, and we had to buy a water heater for them, and extra hoses, and extension cords, and they come in sick so we have to get meds for them, and with extra horses have to have the guy come scrape the pens more often...and then the skinny ones have to have grain and we are going to put a three sided shed for them to protect them against the elements....it all starts to add up. Anyway, I hope everyone understands why we are doing this. It isnt to much per horse, and I hope no one will be upset with us. It isnt to make money it is just to cover our costs. And yes he did agree to it. It saves him a lot of money not having to feed them and send to Mexico. I did tell him also I dont want to do so many at once again, at least not in the winter. It is too hard to find homes for them this time of year.
