ANNOUNCEMENT: Just want to take this opportunity to anounce to all players, officials, sponsors and supporters that there was a meeting in Bangkok last weekend which was attended by the Rugby League Internatinal Federation (RLIF) Manager Mr Tas Baitieri. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the forming of a new and united body called the Thailand Rugby League Federation (TRLF)that would govern the sport in Thailand. Thailand Stars fully supports this process and will continue to work towards a best outcome for the game of Rugby League in Thailand. We are in constant communications with the RLIF who offered assistance to improve the structure of Rugby League in Thailand. Our priority is for Thailand to have a consistent and strong domestic competition with new players coming through playing Rugby League on a weekly basis. Our Phuket 9s tournament unearthed an extended group of new players which we now want playing reguarly. This is our major goal for 2015. The RLIF also confirmed that no Thailand International matches will be sanctioned until such time we abide by the regulations of Sports Accord and we become members of the RLIF. However, the RLIF will offer its support for our matches. We thank you for your patience and support as we go about these crucial steps to ensure the future of Rugby League in Thailand.
