ANNOUNCEMENT: The 2014 Studio Jams International INSPIRATION AWARDS One of the things I like best about Studio Jams is knowing how inspiring the series is for musicians. From the young beginners to the seasoned pros...and everyone in between. We hear it all the time...via emails, FB, phone calls and in face to face conversations. It seems every session inspires someone to some degree. To help celebrate this fact, I am pleased to announce the creation of the 2014 Studio Jams International INSPIRATION AWARDS, yet another step forward for this award-winning series. Quite simply, the INSPIRATION AWARDS have been put together to honor some of the many musicians who have helped build Studio Jams over the years - with their participation, effort, spirit and overall support. They truly create the inspiration. Six different categories will be recognized...(1) Most Inspiring Drummer, (2) Most Inspiring Bassist, (3) Most Inspiring Guitarist, (4) Most Inspiring Keyboardist, (5) Most Inspiring Saxophonist, and (6) Most Inspiring Specialist. A carefully selected independent and diverse group of music industry insiders from around the world have identified six nominees for each category, who will officially be announced soon. And best of all, the winners will be selected by YOU, the fans, by casting your online vote. Voting will begin on January 1, 2015 and conclude on January 25, 2015, with the winners being announced on February 6, 2015…two days before the Grammy Awards. There will be more on these awards next week, including a complete list of all the nominees in each category. Over the next month, I will introduce many of them to you here on FB, with a sample clip from one of possibly many appearances they have made on Studio Jams.
