ANNOUNCEMENT: The 7-day Facebook Challenge! One of the areas in which Ive done a less than stellar job in my OPE organizing duties is in promoting the online community aspect. I notice all of the activity on Facebook by various members, yet there is little traffic on our OPE page. Certainly, Im as big an offender as anyone. Anyway, in an effort to increase the participation on our Facebook site, Im launching this initiative. The challenge will take place over 7 days starting Monday, August 4th. The challenge involves three parts: 1. Daily posting on the OPE FB page 2. Reading all the others comments for that day. 3. Leaves at least one comment on another members post each day The posts dont need to be something profound. I want to lower the threshold of posting to the site. One could post about what they played that day; what they read about; what they saw on Craigslist, eBay, etc.; ask for playing tips, advice, tech questions, etc.; or just any random thoughts about pinball in general. I look forward to reading posts from everyone next week! I think it will be fun and should hopefully help make the OPE a more active community. Ill try to come up with an award for the folks that meet the challenge. Perhaps a pinball party at my house or something:)
