ANNOUNCEMENT: This is for the nth time.. This post is to clarify the checkpoints being administered recently. 1. Councilor Bob Cabarrubias Ordinance 309 has been deferred. He will have his final defense within this month. But during a recent conversation with Atty. Labella, they also mentioned the need of a metering device so there is a bigger chance that this ordinance might be junked. But let us still be vigilant. We dont really know how this would end up. 2. The JAO has been implemented since June but there is yet to be a directive from LTO. I believe the delay was because of the 8K riders unity ride nationwide. :) If the directive will come, we will be given ample time to be notified through publications, possible 10 or more days. So dili ni kalit2x ang pagdakop.. :) 3. If an apprehending officer (LTO or Police) will mention that you are violating PD96, make sure that they are referring to other gadgets. Wang2xs and like. But if they use this to apprehend mufflers, CONTEST. PD96 cannot be used against mufflers. 4. They are necessary and part of the solutions that we have been pushing to the government as an anti-crime activity. Checkpoints? Bring it on! Just make sure you are knowledgeable enough so you can counter possible corruptions by apprehending officers. AND PLEASE DO NOT DIVULGE AND POST ABOUT CHECKPOINTS LOCATION AND TIME unless its over.
