ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!! Wanna see how your CrossFit works in the real world? Join Team Maple Valley CrossFit this summer at the 2015 Spartan Sprint Race in Washougal, WA. The Spartan is an obstacle course race sponsored by Reebok and is oriented toward real world application of CrossFit skills. There are wall climbs, rope climbs, tire flips and a kick ass water slide. You will get muddy, you will be tired, but you will never forget how much fun it is. Coach Chris and Coach Jenn made it a family affair last year and they had a blast. This is an event anyone who has completed fundamentals can complete. If you can’t climb a rope or make it over the wall(s), there are scaled options at each obstacle. Finishers get a sweet medal and a T-shirt. There is a beer garden. If that doesn’t clinch it, nothing will. Wanna do it? Here are the details: Date: Saturday, August 08, 2015 Location: Washougal, WA at the Washougal Motocross Park. Cost: Early registration (first 1,000 entrants) is $81 (including event insurance and processing fee) $100 until day before event, but the event will likely sell out well before that time. Distance: Approximately 4 ½ miles with scalable options at each obstacle. Difficulty: Don’t be a sissy, we’re in this together.
