ANNOUNCEMENTS Thursday, September 19, 2013, Schedule I QuizCats: Today is our practice day! See you immediately after school in Room G-5! Bring some practice questions and munchies or pop! That’s Quiz Bowl, Thursday; G-5; Be there! History Made: Yesterday down in Bowling Green a new page in the record books was written. Lauren DeBelly had the first hole-in-one in Northview Lady Kat Golf history. On the second hole, Lauren took dead aim with her 8 iron at the 121 yard hole. The crowd watched in amazement as the ball headed toward the pin, then disappeared into the hole. Congrats Lauren on a history making shot! Listen up Freshmen: Soon you will be electing officers for class and student government. Here is your chance to be a leader – to help get things done for your class. If you think you have what it takes to serve your fellow students, see Mr. Dick in room E9 to pick up a declaration for candidacy packet. Declarations are due September 19th so see Mr. Dick today! Also Freshmen: Also freshman t-shirt orders are available from your English teachers. The design this year is FANTASTIC! Don’t miss out on a chance to show your class spirit. T-shirt orders are due September 24th! Class Olympics: Want to earn points for your class in the class Olympics while being Super Spirited at Sporting Events?! Check out the GOLD posters hanging around the school for the next home match/meet/game that you can go to with your friends. Just tweet a photo of you and your friends cheering for the team proving you were there – the class with the most students there wins! The next events are tonight: Girl’s Tennis at 4 PM, it’s a Black Out vs. Maumee Valley Boy’s Water Polo at 6 PM, it’s a Black Out vs. St. Francis and Volleyball at 6:30 PM, it’s a Black Out / Pink Out vs. Napoleon Volleyball: Come support your Lady Cat volleyball teams this Thursday against Napoleon as they “dig pink”. All proceeds go to the Susan G. Koman Breast Cancer fund. The most pinked out fan will win a special prize. See you at 6, wear PINK!!! Class Olympics Time: The sophomores are in the lead in the Race for the cure points – but only by ONE person!! Seniors have second with freshman and juniors following close behind. Don’t let your class lose the Race for the Cure points! Go sign up today and have everyone you know sign up for the NV team. It is so easy, just follow the link on the NV website It is a great cause and will help bring a scholarship to NV. Hurry, Race Day is September 29th, but today is the last day to register and have your t-shirt mailed to you. Tutoring: Tutoring for the Fall OGT begins on Monday. Juniors and Seniors who still need to pass a subject are invited to attend, as well as sophomores who received a letter from Mr. Vens. Sessions are held grom 2:30-3:15, Monday-Thursday.
