ANNOUNCING A HISTORIC ALIYAH Dear Evelyn, I am excited to share with you new details about a very special “Freedom Flight” which is scheduled to depart Kiev, Ukraine, on December 22. Because of precious friends like you, we are expecting over 200 Ukrainian Jews to make aliyah (immigrate to Israel) that day. All are war refugees who were forced to flee their homes – some at gun point. They arrived at our makeshift camps in shock, cruelly torn from loved ones, homes, jobs, and cherished belongings. I saw their heart-wrenching tears and heard their cries as they realized it was too dangerous and hopeless to ever return. Indeed, most of these families and individuals will be coming to Israel with only the clothes on their backs. Listen to this harrowing story of a local Ukrainian businessman. But their lives have been saved, and they will soon be safe in their Jewish homeland! This flight on December 22 will be a historic flight. The urgency of the situation in Ukraine required us to act quickly, and because of God’s provision we have the network and staff in place. We are grateful that God has called upon our hearts to rescue His people. But we cannot do it without your help. The cost is $1,500 per olim (immigrant) a higher than normal figure because it includes their transportation to the airport in Kiev, meals in Ukraine on the day they leave, the flight itself, plus funds and resources to help them once they arrive in Israel. Evelyn, I know this is a lot to ask, but if you can spare even $200 (that’s $1 per person on this prophetic flight) or any contribution to help, you will be taking part in a miracle during this season of miracles. Your gracious contribution toward this freedom flight today means these refugees who simply cannot stay in Ukraine any longer can secure a promising future by returning home to Israel.
