ANNOUNCING OUR 30TH SEASON!!!!! We open with...... Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring September 19th – 28th, 2014 ~ Directed by Joe Petrolia “Arsenic and Old Lace is presented by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., New York.” We meet the charming and innocent ladies who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously acceptable roomers; the antics of their nephew who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt; and the activities of the other nephew—these require no further description or amplification here. Followed by...... Rumors by Neil Simon February 6th – 15th, 2015 ~ Directed by Carla Mutone “Rumors (Neil Simon)” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC. At a large, tastefully appointed Snedens Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer, Ken and wife Chris must get the story straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and mis-communications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity. And we close with...... GREASE Book, Music and Lyrics by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey May 22 - 31, 2015 ~ Directed by Clayton Hill “Grease” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH, INC. Here is Rydell Highs senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding Burger Palace Boys and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking Pink Ladies in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head greaser Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their Summer Nights as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as Greased Lightnin, Its Raining on Prom Night, Alone at the Drive-In Movie recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An 8-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals along with innumerable school and community productions place Grease among the worlds most popular musicals. Special thanks to the play reading committee, the PIPs Board, the directors who submitted shows and the directors who said yes! Also, to our patrons who have been supporting us all these years! We will be posting our needs for these shows soon (stage manager, costumes, etc.) and would love to have you join us! We hope to see you at the theatre!!
