ANNOUNCING a new Badass KoolKoat Receipient! Thanks to ANOTHER generous donation from New York Warrior Alliance, Badass Army SPC Trae Hines, will be receiving his very own, custom made, specially adaptive KoolKoat by Koolway Sports. Trae sustained a severe traumatic brain injury in 2013, which left him wheelchair bound and completely dependent on others for his daily needs. He spent over a year in Rehab facilities and returned home to live with is parents in North Georgia just before Christmas. Due to his brain injury, Trae has no purposeful movement of his arms, which make it a struggle to dress him in a standard coat. Thanks to the special design of the KoolKoat, it will be easy to keep this Badass warm, even during the cold winter months. Recently, we were contacted by Traes aunt, Amanda, who was interested in applying for a KoolKoat for her nephew. Amanda helped Shannon Allen (Executive Director of KBW3) plan a visit to Traes home to meet him and his family and surprise them with this exciting news in person. They were overjoyed!
