ANOTHER AMAZING KETTLEMANS STORY!! Hi Kettleman’s, I saw on Facebook that you love receiving stories from your faraway fans, so I thought I could contribute. I moved to Ottawa for journalism school five years ago. I quickly fell in love with a boy across the hall in my university residence and before we started dating, we used to walk to Kettleman’s for bagels. We made a list of all of the bagels and spreads and swapped bagel halves every time we visited. We tried everything; any combination we could come up with was fair game. We kept this up when we started dating a few months later. The bagels were perfect, great for breakfast, lunch, dinner and before midnight movies at the Mayfair. Over the next four years, we spent most of our dates there. Last month, I moved to Taiwan for a new job. He and I are on a relationship hiatus for now, but when my time with this job is completed, I’m hoping to move back to Ottawa and swap bagel halves like we used to.
