ANOTHER REPORTED SPECIES RICKUSS SIGHTING The Gatton locals are reporting they were shocked by the latest Ian Rickuss sighting – this time as he was patrolling the Gatton streets pleading for votes – not to mention the forgiveness of the community after he abused the socks off the poor staff at a medical centre last week - he suddenly came face to face with Danny McGuire, who lost his wife and two children in the tragic Grantham floods. The story of what happened to the McGuire family broke the heart of a nation. As McGuire saw the flood approaching, he loaded his wife and kids into a fire truck for safety, never imagining for one moment that a massive wall of water would come in like a giant tsunami from the west right straight down the railway line and hit the truck with such force it would send it rolling and spinning helplessly down into the floodwater. His only surviving son managed to climb a tree and hang on for dear life. Since then, life has been a terrible rollercoaster and a continual nightmare for McGuire and his little boy. So when McGuire saw Rickuss he reputedly asked him when they were going to hold a proper inquiry to tell the truth about what really happened in Grantham that day and get some justice for his family. Rickuss reputedly stepped up, grabbed McGuire hard on the shoulder, shook him and said “Its time you just moved on, mate. Just move on.” What a truly appalling man you are, Mr Rickuss.
