ANOTHER TEAM EFFORT~~~ (Warning, Graphic Photos) This abandoned guy was sitting in the Okemah Shelter at the beginning of November....He was clearly very injured and there he sat! It appeared his front right foot had been cut off....Car accident or possible trap....Either way, he needed medical attention and needed it soon!! I do not know how many days he was there before he was seen.....Bless his heart! Many people went to work trying to help this boy......Unfortunately, we (HAART) could not take on the expense at the time & we knew it....We had to do something though!!! Calls were made & networking began...... Then the message came, Legacy Of Hope Rescue in OKC, would take him, we were to get him out & get him to our Vet for treatment..... Unfortunately, too much damage was done and his leg had to be amputated! :( Through it all, he was such a trooper....So sweet & loving.....He adjusted quickly to 3 legs & never seemed bothered by any of it! Just grateful for the attention!!! Our special thanks go out to Jaime for her networking & finding him a place to go, to Legacy of Hope Rescue for taking him under their wing to find him a forever home & to Oklahoma Alliance for Animals, who stepped up & is in the process of covering the expenses of the medical bill! What a generous blessing!!! Another team effort has saved a very deserving canine.....We are so grateful that this boy has been given a second chance!!!! Happy Tails.........
