ANSA National submission on Southern Bluefin Tuna regulation changes ======================== ANSA National has made a submission to Fisheries NSW on the current NSW review of recreational fishing bag limits for Southern Bluefin Tuna. Executive Officer of ANSA National, John Burgess, says This review has serious implications for all states where SBT is a targeted recreational species. If the recommendations embodied in the review are adopted then it will be only a matter of time before all other states fall into line behind NSW. ANSA is supportive of reduced recreational fisher bag limits for SBT but not to the extent whereby a personal daily bag limit of one only SBT will be permitted. ANSA has recommended a personal daily bag limit of 2 SBT and has recommended that no boating limits be introduced. Most other national and state peak bodies throughout Australia have adopted a similar position to that of ANSA and have made submissions to the NSW Department of Primary Industries.
