ANTHONY UPDATE: it was a long night...to sum up where we are at. Anthonys highest temp throughout the night was 103.4 and he had some bloody vomiting. This morning we learned that he is positive for a gram negative infection in his central line. We will wait to see exactly what grows out of the culture and the team will treat with the correct IV antibiotic. He seems to also have some kind of GI bleed. The IV team will be in shortly to place another line (IV) to start a med that will help with the bleed. He will have a small bowel biopsy done as well at some point today to rule out any rejection as well. Still lots to do to get him back to himself, but there is a noticeable (positive) difference from yesterday to today. He is no longer lethargic and is totally coherent. Thank God!!
