ANXIETY MAKES YOU STUPID That may be the best lesson from Faithwalking yet! You see, you have an Emotional Brain and a Thinking Brain. In direct proportion to you getting upset, you are unable to think clearly. Ive seen it play out in my life. yesterday I was getting more and more upset with the &*#$ government website for mothers 1099R form. When I realized this, I calmed down with deep breaths and self talk and then I read a sentence that helped. lol Today mama lost her keys. She banged on the door, thinking for sure I was in the shower and what was I going to do??? She got more and more upset so that when I got to the door she was in a state. She went looking for them in her room, in her little case and said, nope, theyre not there! (more panic) I went in and said, Is this them? They were right on top, but her Emotional Brain was too far gone for her to see. She blamed it on age, but age has nothing to do with it. I tried to teach her this new thing ive learned, but what was I thinking??? she was too upset to learn!! Students...heed my warning. You cant think when youre upset. heres a revision: EMOTIONS MAKE YOU STUPID. (crazy love?)
