ANY ONE RELATE? My new years resolution is to never sell on ebay again. Say you sell a hot wheels that you paid $1.16 for in the store for $6.00 including shipping. Ebay gets $1.20, PayPal gets $. 25 plus 3% ($. 29), cost of car $1.16 and then to ship 1 car in the US is $3.12. Add it all up and its $5.76 That means IF you sell a $1.16 hot wheel at $6.00 (damn near 600% mark up) you will pocket 24 cents. Oh and dont forget your boxes, packing material and tape. Now you just spent your time and gas hunting this car, bought a dollar car, spent your time packaging it and took it to the post office and shipped it. All of a sudden youve sold a car at a 600% mark up, youve actually lost money on the sale but all you can do is cross your fingers and pray you didnt just ship this car to a scammer or an as$hole because ebay has stripped the seller of ALL THEIR RIGHTS and will give the sell all their money back for any reason they want. Dont get me wrong, Im not trying to say EBay stinks... IM SCREAMING EBAY SUCKS!!! This is something many sellers on FB should read and understand. This is one of the many reasons behind the saying you hear when group members see inflated prices and say... THIS IS NOT EBAY!. Yes, I take all this into account when selling cars on FB.
