POOR BRAKING SYSTEM OF MAZDA CX-9 To Whom It May Concern, With reference to the aforesaid matter, my car with the following details: Brand: MAZDA Model: CX-9 Year of manufacture: 2010 Year of purchase: March 2011 Mileage done: 65,000km I had my first repair in the 3rd quarter of 2012, shy from 2 years into driving the car. A leaking brake servo unit. I just accounted it as perhaps a slight black sheep despite purchasing Mazda top range SUV. That time, it was still under warranty period. However to my dismay AGAIN on the 1st week of August 2014, I encounter problem with my brake again, immediately I called up authorized Mazda service center (ACT-CHIEVERS SDN BHD, Taman Kencana) to make an appointment to send in the car only to be greeted with terrible customer service. Saying that their schedule is pack. COMMON… My car has a BRAKE FAILURE. Don’t they know how to differentiate what is emergency and normal service? Nevertheless to have the car fixed immediately is my top priority, I send in the car on 11th August 2014 and again to be informed the car BRAKE SERVO UNIT IS LEAKING AGAIN, and will need to be replaced with a new unit. THE PERSON IN CHARGE NEED TO REPEATEDLY REMIND ME THAT IS NOT IN THE WARRANTY PERIOD ANYMORE HENCE I WILL NEED TO PAY THE PARTS IN FULL Appreciate if the management to provide me an insight on the following: 1. Am I expecting that my CX 9s brake servo to fail every 18 months? I have owned and co-owned many other car and there are car which is still driven by myself after 10 years does not face such brake servo problem despite being a much lower end car! 2. The fact that I have to be repeatedly be reminded to pay the parts in full, is the management worried that I cant pay despite purchasing your top end most range of SUV? Is not about how much the brake servo unit will cost, is the fact that I purchased Mazda due to the integrity of the brand and the reliability, despite my questioning your service center not a single person can provide me a proper explanation pertaining the MULTIPLE FAILURE OF THE BRAKE SERVO UNIT. The service center concern is that is not in warranty period hence I have to pay, instead of addressing the issue of the brake servo and ensuring me it should last much longer this time. 3. Henceforward, with the above encounter I am force to write to your good end to have a clearer picture on how a CX 9 brake servo unit can have multiple failure within a period of less than 4 years. With multiple promises while selling the car to me on how durable and the integrity of the car only to be met with the service center being worried that I cant pay for the brake servo and not trying to rectified the issue and perhaps to even provide me with extended warranties for the new brake servo. Dont you Mazda live up to your CX 9 tagline luxurious comfort and ultimate satisfaction? I am definitely only met with ULTIMATE DISSATISFACTION and to be met further with a COST OF RM 2,800.00 WITH NO GUARANTEE WHATSOEVER on how long the brake servo unit will last, or perhaps an indication will it fail every 18 months, and NEVERTHELESS NO SPECIFIC DATELINE CAN BE PROVIDED ON WHEN CAN THE CAR BE FIXED.
