ANYONE THAT HAS LONG TERM/SHORT TERM DISABILITY that they pay for through their employer this may apply to you. I have had LTD/STD for ten years. AVS has faithfully taken the payment out of my check every pay and forwarded it the disability company. Today, I called the company to see what my coverage was during maternity leave and was informed that I did not have coverage anymore. It was cancelled in May! I never cancelled it and they are still taking the money every pay! The representative looked into it and said she has no idea what happened, she would fix it and I would be covered. Had I not called today to check on it, I would NOT have had any coverage when I went on maternity leave! Maybe from now on we should periodically check on these things just in case! After all, earlier in the year they accidentally dropped my dental and vision as well!
