ANers encouragement for you, I went to college at the age of 45 which was 18 years after my surgery. I got my bachelors degree in Business Administration and an accounting minor from Penn State University. Yes, I am deaf in my right ear, yes I get headaches, yes I have spasms, yet my balance sucks, yes my memory is not what it used to be, and so on. The school made provisions for my hearing and I spoke up many times in class when i did not hear something completely. I always talked to my professors at the beginning of the semester about my disability. Many times I had to remind them during the semester too. It was a challenge but I did 4 years in 2 1/2 years of full time college with a 3.7 GPA. You can do anything when you put your mind to it! No excuses, where there is a will, there is a way.
